On July 27, 2010, Bruce Spurlock, MD, Director of Clinical Acceleration, announced BEACON Collaborative has saved 2033 lives as of the first quarter of this year. Dr. Spurlock acknowledged it is the silent heroes, the frontline staff whose story often remains untold, who are responsible for each and every one of the lives saved. This inspiring news kicked-off BEACON's July Quarterly Meeting, at the South San Francisco Conference Center and started a day filled with powerful and sometimes emotional stories of how to drive change, to an audience of 145 attendees representing 30 hospitals from Northern and Central California.
