"Real People with Real Stories" BEACON's October 27, 2009 Quarterly Meeting
Beacon's October Quarterly Meeting "Real People with Real Stories" will feature Sepsis, Stroke, C.diff (CDI), Hand Hygiene, and Ways To Make Learning Fun including successful strategies and stories from the people behind the data.
Beacon will bring the people leading the work, front and center with collaborative participants to share successful strategies. This meeting will highlight the innovative use of contemporary pop culture to advance sepsis care, feature human factors and the role it plays in evaluating the effectiveness of improvement strategies and re-focus on hand hygiene. Breakout sessions will include stroke care practices, C.diff (CDI) prevention, and the use of tools and games to engage the staff while making learning fun.
Join us on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 from 9 am to 3:30 pm at Washington Hospital in Fremont. We encourage all Patient Safety Leaders, Nurse Executives, Nurse Managers, Charge Nurses, Staff Nurses and Initiative Leaders to attend.

Poster Session:
Develop and submit a poster utilizing your institution's PI model for an initiative you've recently addressed. Creativity and "sharing of your story" will be enthusiastically rewarded.
