How to Successfully Implement the Joint Commission’s Infection Control Related National Patient Safety Goals
Overview

Please join us on July 14th from 9:00am - 10:00am when Pat Teske, RN, MHA and Barb DeBaun, RN, MSN, CIC will review the Joint Commission Infection Control National Patient Safety Goals with an emphasis on implementation strategies and examples of success. We will also describe the areas that have been a focus of surveyors and some tips for how to avoid common pitfalls.

Learning objectives: At the conclusion participants will:
1 Review the intent of the NPSG's and the specific areas effecting the roles and responsibilities of the infection preventionist in the hospital;
2 Discuss key steps and strategies for full implementation and facilitate success
3. Describe the areas that have stimulated surveyor focus and provide tips for avoiding common pitfalls
